Developer Quadrant Estates has received planning consent from Ashford Borough Council
for Northdown, the first phase of Eureka Park in Ashford set to be developed.
Northdown will provide over 50,000 sq ft of individual office buildings in the North
East of the park with 25% under offer and considerable interest being expressed.
The buildings will cater for requirements of between 1,400 sq ft (130 sq m) and
20,000 sq ft (1,858 sq m); providing a range of space for businesses.

Property development companies Quadrant Estates and Helical Bar plc have teamed
up to buy and redevelop the former Marlow Ropes site in Hailsham.
The scheme aims to supply new space for a wide range of new business in the neighbouring
area surrounding South Road. Christopher Daniel, director of Quadrant Estates explained:
“We were in discussion with Marlow Ropes about developing this site before
they went into administration and are excited about this deal. There is a shortage
of modern light industrial and distribution space in the area so this will give
the local economy a huge boost and create hundreds of jobs, compensating for those
lost last year.”

Quadrant Estates and Helical Bar plc have achieved planning permission to build
Ropemaker Park, a mixed use employment-led scheme in Hailsham. The 141,600 sq ft
(13,156 sq m) development will go ahead on the former site of Marlow Ropes and will
double the number of jobs previously available.
A planning application for the 9.6 acre (4.04 HA) site was submitted in April following
extensive research and public consultation and was swiftly approved by Wealden District
Council.

A planning application has been submitted to Corby Borough Council for a 400,000
sq ft mixed use development including retail warehousing and light industrial development
at Cockerell Road, Corby.

Quadrant Estates has just sold an important neighbourhood centre at the heart of
the Oakley Vale mixed-use regeneration scheme.
Holwood (Corby) Ltd, a syndicate of private investors, bought the 2,583 m2 scheme
for £5.23 million. The redeveloped centre includes a Tesco Express, a Pizza
Hut, a Connells estate agent, a crèche and a new pub restaurant, operated
by Wolverhampton and Dudley Breweries.

Scott Brownrigg, ranked 26th in this year’s AJ top 100 architects, has been
appointed by Quadrant Estates to design the first phase of the 90 acre Eureka business
park development in Ashford, Kent.
Scott Brownrigg won a competitive pitch against five other firms to secure the instruction
on two gateway buildings and an office court, totalling 160,000 sq ft.
