James Bidwell joins Quadrant Estates

Quadrant Estates, the private property development and investment company, has appointed James Bidwell as an Associate Director. James has been hired to focus on retail asset management and will work with Managing Director Christopher Daniel on the Tuscany portfolio of retail parks on which Quadrant was recently appointed as Asset Manager by KKR.

Quadrant worked on the origination and acquisition of the Tuscany portfolio, which was KKR’s first direct property investment in Europe. The portfolio is made up of multi-let retail warehouse space in strong locations in Oxford, Glasgow and Sunderland with asset management opportunities throughout the portfolio.

Commenting on the new appointment, Christopher Daniel, joint Managing Director said: “James is an important addition to our team at a time when we are strengthening our retail portfolio. He specialises in value add asset management and development on shopping centres that have historically been under invested in and takes a proactive approach to improving occupation, functionality and value, which will benefit our clients.”

James, 32 MRICS / BSc (Land Management) joins from the Hark Group where he worked as an asset manager on the The Galleries Shopping Centre (Bristol), Castle Mall Shopping Centre (Norwich) and Telford Shopping Centre (Shropshire). James was previously a Senior Surveyor in the retail team at Cushman & Wakefield, working on all aspects of retail property – shopping Centres, retail warehousing and high Street.

James comments: “Quadrant is a very exciting firm to be joining. They are really making a name for themselves in the retail park market as well as the developments they are working on in central London. I am excited about adding value to the team and helping expand the retail division.”
